After almost 2 weeks on the road, I am trying to get caught up with all my blogs, posts, and shows.
I flew to Las Vegas to rehearse for the “Summer Of Love” shows. Spent 5 days there. My son, Jeremy, flew in and we hung out with Steve McCoy, Tom Jones Tribute Artist, and Producer. We then flew to San Fransisco, to perform 3 shows over 8 days. The show was: The Mamas and Papas, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Crosby Stills, Nash and Young, Joe Cocker, and Paul McCartney. I had never worked with The Mamas and Papas act before. They were great people and started the show with gusto. Janis Joplin, portrayed by, Michelle Rohl, wowed the crowd. I have worked with her before, and she always rocks the rooms. Next was Jimi Hendrix, who sat the audience on fire. Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, followed Hendrix and were Well received. Myself, as Joe Cocker sang, “She Came In Through The Bathroom Window”, “You Can Leave Your Hat On”, “The Letter”, and “With A Little Help From My Friends. I was beaming as I received Huge rounds of applause. Closing the show was, Tony Kishman as Sir Paul McCartney. I have worked with Tony before, he is a delight to watch perform and to hang out with. “SUMMER OF LOVE”, was 3 fantastic shows with an incredible cast, a fine band, and talented dancers. These were private shows, for Corporation Employees. They were given free costumes to wear and keep as souvenirs. I have attached some pictures…Enjoy! www.cockertribute.com
