Welcome back to cockertribute.com
Friday night, we performed “As Joe Cocker” at Foster Park in Kokomo, Indiana.
Kokomo, is my hometown, so it was a pleasure performing there. The weather was perfect and the park was packed. My band was rehearsed, rested, and ready to roll for the crowd. When announced, the audience responded with cheers, applause, and unbridled energy. We took the stage at 7PM and opened with Bad, Bad, Sign, which drew everyone’s attention to the players onstage. The rest of the set went like this, Feeling Alright and She Cane In Through The Bathroom Window. Then I paused to introduce the band. Each and every member received a well deserved round of applause. We then continued with, Fever, The Letter, When The Night Comes, Unchain My Heart, My Imagination, You Can Leave Your Hat On, Sticks and Stones, and ended with Hitchcock Railway. The crowd stood up and let go with applause as they shouted out for more. I returned to the stage with Keyboardist, Kevin Silva and we performed You Are So Beautiful. As the lights dimmed to dark the the rest of the band returned to the stage and we played With A Little Help From My Friends. The entire audience rose to their feet to watch this final song. When we finished, the applause was Thunderous. To say it was a great night, is an understatement. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You All who attended. I shall never forget that evening. As always, Thank you for visiting cockertribute.com
Respectfully,
